Follow-Up: Man-Next-To-Child Ban
About a month ago, I posted a link to a story about a New Zealand airline that would ask men to move to another seat instead of sitting next to an unaccompanied child. The reason: "60 to 90 percent" of sexual offenders are men. Well, it seems that this trend is growing:

I was just recently dealing with the issue of identity other than "white" and "black". I have an adopted daughter from Chile. We read a book about Rosa Parks and she asked me how she would have been classified back then and would she have had to sit at the back of the bus. I didn't know how to answer her (though eventually found some answers for her). I see her struggling, trying to "classify" herself. I am trying to give her enough support to be who she is without needing to label it, but recognize that it is natural to want to feel part of a group. Anyway, your comment on "whites" and "coloreds" struck a chord with me.
